2023 Freeski Athletes

Cooper McGuinness - Innisfil, ON

Congrats to freeskiing diehard Cooper McGuinness ! Cooper is 16 years old out of Innisfil, Ontario. He seriously loves skiing, spending as much time possible shredding at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. Cooper is looking forward to a big winter ahead, especially after last season was cut short from breaking his collar bone. He committed his summer to training hard at Maximise, hitting the gym and spending hours on end sessioning his backyard rail set up. Looking forward to seeing you GIVE’R this winter Cooper and having fun with Contender Ski Team! @sooperdoopercooper07

Andrew Dorchak - The Blue Mountains, ON

Congrats to 17 year freesrtyle skier Andrew Dorchak! Andrew moved from Florida to The Blue Mountains at age 5 and shortly after fell in love with skiing. Once he discovered the terrain park there was no turning back. Andrew has a go for it type of approach in skiing and it’s paid off with solid results on the provincial Timber Tour. He looks forward to competing on some Canada Cup events as well and seeing how far he can take his skiing! He also is on the newly formed Contender Ski Team which is bound to help him achieve his highest levels of performance🤘 We’re excited to follow your journey Andrew, best of luck! @andrew.dorchak

2022 Freeski Athletes

Ava Aubry - Singhampton, ON

Ava is a 17-year-old park skier out of Singhampton, Ontario. She is currently on the Ontario Park and Pipe team and will be competing on the Canada Cup circuit this winter and NorAm competitions. She also coaches the Blue Mountain freeski team and is dedicated to giving back to young girls in the sport. She has mentioned this numerous times and feels grateful to have the opportunity to show off women’s free skiing to the world! Ava has a special soul; she is always smiling and she really defines giving back to the younger generation and sharing her passion and stoke for the sport every chance she gets. We cannot wait to follow Ava‘s journey this winter and for years to come. There is no doubt she will continue to impress us and make a big impact on woman’s skiing! Follow @ava.aubry

Parks Boutilier - Rossland, BC

Parks is a 17-year-old freeskier from Rossland BC. He had a special connection with Kenneth being one of his coaches on the RED Mtn. Freeski Academy and someone he really looked up to. Parks mentioned Kenneth was one of his biggest mentors and absolutely loved skiing with him on training days. Parks is one of the nicest guys you’ll find on the mountain; always fired up with a big smile on his face and sends it pretty big if I say so myself. He competes in the IFSA freeride competitions across Western Canada and qualified for the NorAms in 2020. Parks will be starting his schooling to be an electrician this winter in Nelson BC. 2023 Mountain Bike Recipients

Jojo Diplock - Rossland, BC

Jojo is a 17 year old adventurer from Rossland, BC. She is extremely passionate about the outdoors and loves riding her bike as much as possible. She will be entering her first year of Mountain Bike Racing and has already clinched a 3rd place in Kelowna. She looks forward to putting the grant towards race fees and upgrading her bike to a more enduro specific rig! To Jojo, GIVE'R means “living your life to your fullest. Cherishing every moment, digging deep and pushing yourself to your limits. And feeling that euphoria when you cross that finish line”. Follow @jojo_diplock

Lucas Dufour - Collingwood, ON

Lucas is a 16 year old shredder from Collingwood, ON. Lucas lives and breathes biking. You could see it in his eyes during his audition video. He is the happiest guy on his bike and gets out to fulfill his passion on the regular. Lucas will be entering his 2nd year of Enduro Racing and is stoked to use this grant to bring his biking and body to the next level to become a better well rounded athlete. In Lucas’s words, “GIVE'R is a Mindset. It’s not even a word or phrase, it’s a little more than that. It what gets you from point A to point B as fast as you can. It gets you over a creek gap.
