OVERVIEW

The Team GIVE'R Foundation is proud to introduce multi-sport summer day camps for local youth in The West Kootenays, BC. These camps will provide structured, engaging, and inclusive sports programming to encourage physical activity, teamwork, and skill development. The weekly camps will be held in Rossland, BC for the month of July 2025.

The camps will offer a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, tennis, baseball, flag football, soccer, kickball, dodgeball and more.

Running weekly from Monday to Friday, led by trained counselors with support from experienced coaches. We plan to offer two programs per week, one for 7-10 year olds and one for 11-14 year olds.

  • W1: July 7, 2025 - July 11, 2025

    W2: July 14, 2025 - July 18, 2025

    W3: July 21, 2025 - July 25, 2025

    W4: July 28, 2025 - August 1, 2025

    9am - 3:30pm

  • The camps will be held in Rossland, BC, utilizing local sports fields, tennis courts, school gymnasiums, and other outdoor recreational facilities.

  • $399/ week (taxes included).

We have partnered with Seven Summits Centre for Learning in Rossland and have agreed to use their space as our 'home base,' for child pickup/drop off and a lunch hub, with access to washrooms, kitchen, etc.

We have also partnered with Ecole des Sept-Sommets in Rossland to use their gymnasium as our indoor activity centre.

DESCRIPTION

Join us for an action-packed summer at our Multi-Sport Camps, designed to ignite the passion for sports in youth aged 7-10 and 11-14! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, our camps offer a comprehensive learning experience tailored to your age group.

For Ages 7-10: The focus for our younger campers is building a strong foundation in various sports. Campers will dive into the fundamentals of each sport, learning proper techniques and gaining a thorough understanding of rules and gameplay. Our enthusiastic counselors create a supportive environment where every child can develop their skills while having a blast.

For Ages 11-14: Our older campers will take their game to the next level with advanced skill refinement and strategic gameplay. Through engaging drills and personalized coaching, participants will enhance their abilities and tactical understanding across multiple sports. The week culminates in a thrilling multi-sport tournament on Friday, where campers can showcase their newfound skills and sportsmanship.

  • In the event that participants would like to cancel a registration, please note the tiered refund policy below:

    • If a cancellation is made more than 30-days from the start of the camp, a full refund less a $25.00 admin fee will be processed

    • If a cancellation is made between 14 and 30 days from the start of the camp, a full program credit less a $25.00 admin fee will be processed and can be redeemed towards any other Summer Sports Camp with no expiration.

    • If a cancellation is made between 7 and 14 days from the start of a camp, a 50% program credit less a $25.00 admin fee will be processed and can be redeemed towards any other Summer Sports Camp with no expiration.

    • If a cancellation is made less than 7-days from the start of a camp, no refund or credit will be applied.

    No refunds will be offered once the camp has begun, or offered for missed days regardless of when the cancellation was made or the circumstances.

    As well, we will be using the various outdoor recreation sites around Rossland including the baseball diamonds, soccer pitches and tennis courts.

  • We take injuries very seriously and make a proactive effort to limit the risk of injury as much as possible. However, participating in sports carries an inherent risk of injury and we do our best to educate campers on the best ways to participate safely. If a camper is seriously injured at camp we will notify the camper’s parents/guardians as quickly as possible and let them know the steps taken to treat the injury. If a camper sustains a head injury they will be removed from play immediately and parents/guardians will be contacted. 

  • Our camper to staff ratio is Two Camp Leaders per group of 12 participants max.

  • If your child requires medication to be taken during the day, please notify our head office prior to the camp with specific instructions. Medications should be hand-delivered to the Camp Manager on the first day of camp. Medication should never be sent to camp in your child’s lunchbox or backpack, including over-the-counter medication like Advil or Tylenol.

  • Team GIVE’R Summer Sports Camp is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful camp environment for all campers, staff, volunteers, parents, and community members. Any camper or parent that violates the terms of the Code of Conduct will be subject to immediate dismissal from programs without warning, and will not receive a refund on registration fees.

    • We have zero-tolerance for any form of bullying, harassment of discrimination including verbal, physical or emotional.

    • Camp property and resources are to be used responsibly and respectfully. Any intentional damage to camp facilities, equipment or natural surroundings will not be tolerated.

    • It’s essential for campers to listen to and follow instructions given by camp staff members. Disruptive behaviour, defiance, or refusal to comply with rules and guidelines may result in disciplinary action.

  • In the event of misbehavior by a camper, the following 3-strike policy will come into effect:

    Strike 1: Verbal Warning

    • During a first incident, staff will give a verbal warning to the camper and ensure that they understand why they were given a verbal warning, and what behaviour will result in a second strike.

    Strike 2: Temporary Removal from Camp

    • After a second incident, the camper will be temporarily removed from the camp and will sit out for a discretionary period of time. The Camp Manager will discuss the incident with the camper and their parent(s)/guardian at the end of the day.

    Strike 3: Permanent Removal from Camp

    • After a third incident, the camper will be permanently removed from the camp for the remainder of the day and the parent(s)/guardian will be required to pick up the camper early. Depending on the severity of the incident, a third strike may result in a camper being removed from camp for the remainder of the week.

    In the event that a camper is removed from camp no refund will be offered for missed days.

  • We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for bullying of any kind, including physical harassment, verbal harassment, or aggressive behaviour.

    Physical Play Policy
    Any camper who is being overly physical with other campers and/or staff, outside the normal rules of the game, will be subject to the three-strike policy and the Camp Counsellor will discuss the incident with the camper and their parent(s) at the end of the day.

  • All Camp Leaders and Camp Manager are certified with First-Aid and CPR. First-aid kits and materials are readily available at all camp sites and maintained weekly.

  • If there is a major injury requiring emergency assistance, we will call 9-1-1 first and then contact the parents/guardians of the camper immediately after.

  • If your child requires an EpiPen please ensure that TWO are sent to camp. One will be kept with the camper’s lead counsellor, and one will be kept in the camp office.
